Scott Berkun speaking at MIT
I recently met Scott Berkun (http://scottberkun.com/) at an O'Reilly conference (Foo Camp specifically). Scott was a Program Manager at Microsoft for 10 years where he managed the early versions of IE. He is a fellow O'Reilly author and is planning a book tour for his latest book: "The Art of Project Management" (which I highly recommend). He is going to be speaking on Wednesday at MIT at the following times:
"What I wish they'd told me: Lessons from the software industry"
Time: Wednesday, 12-1pm
Location: E51-145

"Why software sucks and what to do about it"
Time: Wednesday, 4:00pm
Location: 54-100

How was the "software sucks" talk?
I wasn't able to attend. One interesting note is that originally that talk was suppose to be hosted by the CS department, but at the last minute someone didn't like the "software sucks" aspect of the talk so they wouldn't host it. Fortunately another group hooked him up.
Hopefully after the treatment by the CS department, he changed the name to "software sucks ass"
