I don't play golf very often. And when I do, I usually shoot 100+. I enjoy it though — it is a great escape from work / computers / email / the web / etc. and I don't take it very seriously. Well this week I shot my first eagle! That's right, an EAGLE. It was on a par 5 at Falls Village in Durham. I scorched the drive. On my second shot I got lucky. I hit a 7 iron a little right–it hit a tree and went straight toward the green. Then I nailed a 20 foot downhill putt. It was awesome. My game is improving. I hit a 49 on the back nine that day. I'd like to consistently get under 100 by the end of the summer.
